When Len Rhodes received a call from one of the world’s leading violinist, Anne Akiko Meyers, to arrange Bach, little did he know his music would ultimately be performed on a 1742 Guarneri del Gesù violin, considered by many to be the finest-sounding violin in existence.
This Friday, March 3rd, sees the release of Mysterium, the latest CD release by Anne Akiko Meyers, featuring two of Len’s Bach arrangements, performed by Meyers with the Los Angeles Master Chorale.
The featured works performed at the Los Angeles Walt Disney Concert Hall were both world premieres; ‘Sheep May Safely Graze’ and ‘Wachet Auf, Sleepers Wake’.
