Len Rhodes - short bio
Len Rhodes' life is a career as music director, arranger, composer, pianist, organist, and teacher.  He is currently signed as a recording artist with Burning Girl Records (UK). Len is continually in demand as an arranger and composer; and was recently granted worldwide arrangement rights creating a piano solo of Ralph Vaughan William's choral work Reconciliation. Len's Broadway and Las Vegas credits include original Musical Director and Arranger for A Night with Janis Joplin - Broadway 2013 (Nominated for Best Musical Director - Equity for ‘One Night With Janis Joplin’ at the Pasadena Playhouse, CA, October 6th, 2014); and Musical Director, Arranger and Pianist in the Las Vegas MGM Grand’s Hollywood Theatre production of Mike Tyson – The Undisputed Truth (April 2012). Compositions, arrangements, and commissions include BBC Radio, Trinity College London, Kennedy Center, Stage West, and the Virginia Shakespeare Festival. He serves as Artistic Director and Artist in Residence with Summit Music and Arts.  A Fellow of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (FISM), Len is also a member of ASCAP, The Royal College of Organists, and the Guild of Organist (UK). Len Rhodes - long bio
Len Rhodes is a composer, arranger, pianist, organist, music director, educator, and author. He has worked as a professional musician since age 13 when he was appointed organist in Beckenham, Kent, UK. Len Rhodes has performed throughout the world including the Las Vegas MGM Grand's Hollywood Theatre, The Edinburgh International Festival, Cathedral of St. Sulpice in Paris, and London’s Banqueting House for members of the Royal Family. In Colorado, he performs regularly as Artist in Residence with the Summit Music and Arts concert series.

Len Rhodes has musically directed productions throughout the US and the UK including Mike Tyson - The Undisputed Truth, A Night With Janis Joplin (Broadway 2013), Beehive, The Rocky Horror Show, Leader of the Pack, I Do! I Do!, The Boyfriend, Private Lives, A Christmas Carol, Doonesbury, Marat/Sade, Something’s Afoot, and The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe.

Len recently signed publishing deals with Music Sales: G. Schirmer. Arrangements include the score for The Undisputed Truth, A Night With Janis Joplin, and Summer In The City. He has also worked as composer and arranger with Trinity College London and BBC Radio. His compositions and commissions include The Adventures of Pericles (for the 10th Anniversary of the Virginia Shakespeare Festival); The Waterbabies; Bethlehem! The Journey; My Head and My Heart; and incidental music for A Christmas Carol; Salonika; and Private Lives. Len is currently Music Director and Organist at Eagle River Presbyterian Church in Avon.

Len Rhodes' teaching credits include music history at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and Colorado Mountain College; as well as public and private schools in the U.K. and U.S. He teaches piano, composition, ear training, theory and harmony in his private studio.

Mentored by Dr. Douglas Hopkins (1902-1992), Master of the Choristers at Sandhurst, sub-organist of St Paul’s Cathedral, and organist of Peterborough and Canterbury Cathedrals has been an important influence in Len's studies and ongoing career. He studied piano with Georgina Zellan-Smith and Ruth Harte. Receiving his diplomas from the Royal Academy of Music and the London College of Music, Len also studied composition at Morley College, University of London.
