‘Andante’ from Trio Sonata in E minor, BWV 528, J. S. Bach - arranged for Clarinet, Cello and Piano

Bach’s Trio Sonata in E minor, BWV 528 was composed in Leipzig c. 1727, whilst Bach was in the position of Kantor at the Thomaskirche.

Originally scored for oboe d’amore, viola da gamba and continuo; however, Bach was often vague with his instrumentations, often simply designating two melodic parts with continuo/harpsichord.

This arrangement has been commisioned by clarinettist Armando Vasquez, and is scored for Bb Clarinet, Cello and Piano.
